In the heart of the old town of Palermo, between the elegance of the sumptuous palaces of via Maqueda and the characteristic alleys of the Capo Market, Silvia offers an informal and warm welcome by opening the doors of her home to all those travellers who, motivated by their spirit of exploration, want to experience the city by conducting multisensory experiences through its colours, smells, and flavours. This is how il Palchetto, just like the homonymous seating area inside the theatre, offers itself as a starting point from which to observe the incredible spectacle of Palermo.
Very close to the Massimo Theatre and in the immediate vicinity of the main monuments and ancient markets, il Palchetto enjoys a central position from where it’s possible to easily walk to the most renowned sites in the old town, to use the services that the area offers, and to enjoy the lively nightlife that animates the streets of the city. Its strategic location allows you to walk with your eyes raised upwards so as to take in the beauty of its historic buildings, to eat street food while admiring the evocative alleys in the Capo Food Market, and to visit the rooftop of the Cathedral. And don’t worry if you think your stay is too short because, thanks to Silvia’s advice, you will have the time to visit the most renowned sites that will make you fall in love with Palermo and want to return (this time for several days!).
A few metres from one of the most folkloristic markets of the city and near the lively pedestrian area, il Palchetto is located in via Gaetano Donizetti, a limited traffic road accessible both by taxi and by car.
